அற்றைத் திங்கள்
அவ்வெண் ணிலவில்
முற்றுப் பெறா உப்புக் கடலில்
முத்தெடுத்தோம் !
சுற்றிச் சுற்றி மெய் மறந்தோம்
சொர்க்கப் படகில் !
வசந்த காலம் !
வளர் பிறைக் கோலம் !
கட்டினோம் நீண்ட பாலம்
கடல் அலை மீது
எமக்குள் இருந்த
ஒற்றுமை வேர்களைப்
பற்றிக் கொண்டு
பழங்கதை பேசினோம் !
பாடினோம் ! ஆடினோம் !
படமெடுத்து நெஞ்சில் சூடினோம் !
விடியும் வரை
கனாக் கண்டோம் தோழி !
மண்ணில் தடம் படாது,
விண்ணில் பறந்தோம் !
தாகம் மிகுந்து
மோகக் கடலில் மூழ்கினோம்!
சிப்பிக்குள் முத்துண் டானது !
ஒப்புடன்
விதியின் ஆசியால் முடிந்ததெம்,
அதிசயத் திருமணம்!
தேனிலவில் குளித்து,
சொர்க்க புரிச் சிகரம் விட்டு
இறங்கும் போது
எவர் பெருங்குடி என்று
தர்க்க புரியில்
தடம் வைத்தோம் !
முழு நிலவின் போலி அலைகள்
பழுதாக்கின
எமது மூளையை !
நேற்று மறந்த
வேற்றுமைக் கணையெல்லாம்
ஆற்றலுடன் தாக்கின
முறிந்ததெம் மனப் பாலம் !
சேயிழைக்குப் பெருங் காயம் !
நாயக னுக்குச் சிறு காயம் !
தேய்பிறை மாயம் !
இற்றைத் திங்கள்
இவ்வெண் ணிலவில்
முற்றுப் புள்ளி உதயம் ஆனது !
அத்த மிக்கும் வானில்
தொத்தி எழும்
கரு நிலவு !
