சுயநலம் நமது பிறப்புரிமை !
குருதியில் கலந்தது !
கூடப் பிறந்தது !
மனித ஆணிவேர் ஆவது !
சுதந்திரம் மனிதர் இறப்புரிமை !
பறி போவது ! மரிப்பது !
அதோ, அந்தோ !
புலி வருது ! புலி வருது !
புலிக்குப் பயந்தவர் என்மேல்
படுத்துக் கொள்வீர் !
கடவுள் படைப்பிலே
பெண் சுயநலம் !
ஆண் பொது நலம் !
ஆயினும் சுயநலம் இல்லையேல்
பொது நலம் இல்லை !
அன்னை தெரேசாவின்
காப்பில்லம் பொது நலமா ?
ஆத்மீகச் சுயநலம்,
மனச் சாந்தி !
சுயநலம் வளர்பிறை !
பொது நலம் தேய்பிறை !
வளர்பிறை, தேய்பிறை ஒருவித
ஒளிச்சுழற்சி மாயை !
நீர்க் குமிழியாய்
மேல் மிதக்கும் பொது நலம் !
நுனி மட்டும் தெரிய
பனிப் பாறைப் பெருங்குடல்
மூழ்கிடும் சுயநலமாய் !
முதல் மந்திரி
தனக்குப் போட்ட மாலைக்கு
தையல் மெஷின் கொடை அளிப்பார்
தன் பயணம் தொடர !
சுதந்திரம் என்பது பொதுநலமா ?
சுயநலமா ?
சுதந்திரம் பொதுநலச்
சுயநலம்
பொது நலத்தைப் பிளந்துள்ளே
பார்த்தேன்
பதுங்கி விழித்திருந்தது
சுயநலச் சிங்கம் !
பொதுநலம் விரியும் ஆலமரம்
சுயநலம் விழுது !
மேடையில்
தன் வாடை மணக்க
பொன்னாடை போர்த்துவார்
முன்னோடி மனிதர் !
சுயநலம் ஒரு செங்கல் !
பொதுநலம் கட்டிய கோபுரம் !
